Mr. Khaliq ur Rehman completed Master’s degree in Administrative Science from the Punjab University with distinction in 1967. He joined Pakistan Burmah Shell in the sales department in 1969. In 1971 he joined Jaffer Brothers Pvt. Ltd., to set up their marketing network at the grass root level to develop capability for handling the production of their fertilizer plant being established at that time. However before its completion the Govt. of Pakistan Nationalized the key Industries including Fertilizer. Mr. Rehman then joined Punjab Agriculture and Development Corporation in 1973 where he served for 5 years as Deputy Director S
Sales and Evaluation. In January 1979, he joined Fauji Fertilizer Company, the largest manufacturers and marketers of fertilizers in Pakistan. During his 27 years stay in the company he headed various functions of marketing.
He has also participated as a marketing consultant in various Fertilizer Policy Studies organized and funded by USAID, Asian Development Bank, World Bank and United Nations as well as in domestic projects.
He is a founder member of Marketing Association of Pakistan Lahore Chapter. He has been on the executive council for many years and headed the Lahore Chapter as Vice President in 1995, 1996, 2002 and 2003. He was the Chairman of the International Marketing Congresses held in Lahore, MARCON 1996 and MARCON 2003. Currently he is also the Chairman of Board of Governors of Lahore Marketing Institute.
