Lahore chapter has announced building of a state of the
art marketing institute at Lahore and for the purpose
a piece of land of two kanals at Johar Town have already
purchased. Council has signed an agreement with one of
the leading architects of the country. M/s Imtiaz Ali
Associates Architects are in the process of designing
state of the art building of first ever Marketing Institute
in Pakistan.
MAP Marketing
Institute - What is It?
The MAP Marketing Institute is being created to advance
the science and practice of marketing.
The marketing institute will bring together leading researchers
in the areas of empirical modeling, competitive strategy,
consumer behavior, and behavioral decision theory. Faculty
members will use these methodologies to explore issues
such as branding and advertising strategy, product diffusion,
consumer choice, managerial decision making and information
technology. Collaboration will be the part of the marketing
institute. Seminars will provide continuous exposure to
current research. In addition to the core faculty, the
marketing Institute will invite visiting lecturers and
leading marketing professionals to provide participants
the latest in marketing thought from an academic as well
as a practitioner standpoint.
What Will the Institute Do?
The Institute will learn, develop and facilitate the application
of the very best marketing practices in a wide range of
settings all over the Pakistan. It will do this by maintaining
constant touch with frontline marketing practitioners,
cutting-edge private sector marketers, and top rank academic
programs and institutes. When fully operational, the Marketing
Institute will undertake all of the following activities
(and undoubtedly more)
- Provide on-site
team-based strategic guidance to programs,
organizations, businesses and foundations impatient
to apply the very best marketing approaches to their
particular issues and problems;
- Carry out and disseminate
research on marketing 'best practices;"
- Train and educate today's practitioners and prepare the next generation
in state-of-the-art techniques;
- Sponsor academic
research to take marketing to the "next
level" of sophistication and impact;
- Provide connections
and leadership to social change professionals,
commercial marketers, academics and funders eager
to exchange ideas about marketing practice and its
potential.

Organization and Operation
The Institute will have a full time staff and will be
overseen by a prestigious Board of Directors. It will
be funded by foundation grants, fees for conferences,
publications and the like and membership subscriptions.
Subscribing corporate members will be entitled to nominate
individuals to serve on the Institute Advisory Committee,
which will provide guidance for the Institute's consulting,
research and conference activities.
